Statement of Faith & Views on Healing

Young Woman Reading Bible

I believe in

*One perfect and almighty God, eternally existing in three persons, the Father, Son (Jesus Christ) and the Holy Spirit.

*God created heaven and earth and creator of all life.

*The Bible is God’s Holy Inspired Word (2 Timothy 3:16), infallible , authoritative, empowering , life changing  Word of God.

*God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  John 3:16.   Jesus Christ’s deity, virgin birth, sinless humanity, suffered and died for our sins, resurrection and ascended to heaven.

*Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life and no one come to the Father except through Him.  John 14:6.  I believe that salvation cannot be found in any other, “for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” Acts 4:12.  I believe that salvation, the forgiveness of sins, and the promise of eternal life is available to all of us who put our faith in Jesus, the Savior.

Salvation is by faith and grace alone and cannot be earned, it is a gift to all who believe.

*If we confess our sins.  He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  1 John 1:9.  I believe we cannot live a victorious life apart from receiving God’s forgiveness to us and our extending forgiveness to others.   Our attitudes should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.  Philippians 2:5

*The resurrection of the body, eternal glory for believers in heaven and everlasting punishment for unbelievers in hell.

*Jesus commands, We are to love the Lord our God with all our heart and with all our soul and with all our mind and with all our strength.  And to love each other as ourselves.  Mark 12:30-31. I believe we should not worship or place anything above God. Exodus 20:3 I believe we are to put the Lord God first in all things, follow his word and grow in Christ-likenss.

*I believe in the healing power of God and miracles based about God’s will not on my own. God chooses to work healing or not into our lives by His will and purpose to be served.  God offers His strength in our weakness and works through the trials in our lives to grow us spiritually, mentally and emotionally, and not always comfortably, by sometimes allowing “thorns” in our lives. 2 Corinthians 12:7-9.

*I believe He works healing through Himself, and can choose to heal through medical means.  But if He chooses not to heal for a season or lifetime, this does not necessarily a sign we have done something wrong or have unconfessed sin in our lives or not enough faith. John 9:3.

*Exodus 20:3 I believe God’s Word that says,”God is the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-5, and 6-7.

*For those whose faith is in Jesus Christ, His Holy Spirit resides in us.  I believe in living by the Spirit, walking in the Spirit and producing fruit in the Spirit.  I believe the Holy Spirit empowers us to live beyond our circumstances with the power of Jesus Christ working through us.  For God’s word says, “the things that are impossible with man are possible with God.” Luke 18:27.  I believe that God is the God of the impossible.
